We are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Supervisor who will be responsible for the mechanical implementation of our assembly projects on-site. From disassembly and alignment to handover for commissioning—with your own team by your side.
Your Responsibilities as a Mechanical Assembly Supervisor
On-site Mechanical Installation Supervision
You are responsible for the mechanical installation on the construction site and ensure that machinery and equipment are installed with precise dimensions, safely, and on schedule.
Management of the Installation Team
They schedule the work of fitters, locksmiths, and metalworkers, provide training, oversee the work, and serve as the primary point of contact for technical questions on the construction site.
Setup, Alignment, and Adjustment
You are responsible for installing, aligning, and leveling machines and plant components, including foundation connections and anchoring.
Dismantling and Reassembly During Relocations
When relocating machinery or moving operations, you oversee the proper disassembly, labeling, and preparation for transport, as well as the subsequent reassembly at the destination.
Coordinate Mechanical Trades
They keep an eye on piping, welding, and lifting operations and coordinate with the electrical team to ensure the system is ready for commissioning.
Coordination with project management and the client
You report your progress to the project management team, clarify technical details directly on site, and document your work in a transparent manner.
Your Profile
- Completed training as an industrial mechanic, construction mechanic, metalworker, or metal fabricator, or a comparable qualification in metalworking; further training to become a technician or master craftsman is preferred
- Work experience in industrial assembly, plant engineering, or maintenance
- Proficiency in working with technical drawings, layout plans, and measuring equipment
- Experience with lifting and transport equipment is a plus
- Willingness to lead a team and make decisions on the job site
- Willingness to participate in national and international projects
- English Language Skills for Communication on International Construction Sites
We expressly welcome recent graduates who have completed their vocational training. Those who have the basic technical skills and are willing to take on responsibility will grow into assembly management roles with us.
Travel and Project Assignments
Installation means traveling. We say this up front because it’s the question that comes up in the first conversation anyway.
Some of our projects take place near our locations, while others involve travel throughout Europe or to other countries for several weeks, including the U.S., Mexico, China, and India. How your assignments are distributed depends on your area of responsibility and is planned well in advance—not decided at the last minute. We cover travel expenses, lodging, and meals during your assignment.
